Details about workmanship calibre and how it is measured.
Quality of work is often overseen with jewellery insurance claims. IVAA monitors workmanship levels of panel jewellers to categorise similar calibre jewellers for supply.
Method
Panel jewellers are invited to participate in a fair quoting process. Similarly to how a diamond cutter's skill is graded, IVAA measure the workmanship of finished jewellery in order to categorise what calibre of product and service a jeweller is capable of supplying.

Good
Fair
Poor
Grading workmanship is subjective, thus IVAA rely on auditing work in-house and using a qualified NCJV valuer whom is independent and registered with the AIJV.
If a jewellery supplier requests to participate in a higher calibre level, the jeweller is required to demonstrate they are able to perform such level of workmanship.
Maintaining Quality of Workmanship
Jewellers will be requested to participate in quality audit testing to demonstrate quality of work and workmanship calibre when required.
